Resignation Submission to Governor
At 3 pm, Siddaramaiah will go to Lokbhavan. He will submit his resignation to the Governor’s office there. However, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot does not remain in Bengaluru at present. He has travelled to Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Reports say Governor Gehlot went to Indore to visit an unwell relative. Because of his absence from Bengaluru, Siddaramaiah will hand over the resignation at the Governor’s office.
DK Shivakumar’s Path Cleared
After Siddaramaiah’s resignation, DK Shivakumar’s path to the Chief Minister’s post has become clear. This change follows a long political tussle over leadership in Karnataka. For some time, the issue had created intense speculation within the state’s power structure. Now, the resignation announcement has moved that contest toward a decisive turn.
Ongoing Political Update
The day began with a breakfast meeting, yet it turned into a major political moment. Siddaramaiah’s decision now places DK Shivakumar at the centre of Karnataka’s next chapter. However, further formal steps still remain.
