The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust may announce its new CEO soon. The final decision could come on Wednesday, September 2.
Three names have emerged for the first CEO position of the Ayodhya-based trust. The shortlisted candidates include retired IPS officer Rajesh Pandey, former IAS officer Dinesh Chandra, and former IAS officer Yogeshwar Mishra.
Earlier, the selection committee shortlisted 16 applicants. The committee conducted interviews with all shortlisted candidates.
After the process, the committee selected three names. These names reached the trust, which will take the final decision.
Selection Committee Reaches Ayodhya For Final Decision
The trust may decide the first CEO appointment during a meeting at President Nritya Gopal Das’s residence.
The meeting will take place at Maniram Das Chhawani in Ayodhya. Selection committee members have already reached the city.
The committee includes retired Justice Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi, and expert member Suresh Haware.
Rajesh Pandey Among Leading Candidates
Retired IPS officer Rajesh Pandey has emerged as one of the contenders. He is known as an encounter specialist.
Rajesh Pandey belongs to the 2003 IPS batch and comes from Prayagraj. During his service, he gained recognition for encounter operations.
The 65-year-old officer received promotion from the Provincial Police Service (PPS). He served as SSP in Lucknow, Aligarh, Meerut, and Saharanpur.
Additionally, Pandey worked with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
5585 Applications Received For CEO Role
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust shared details about the selection process on Tuesday, September 1. The trust said it completed a “comprehensive, transparent and technology-based process” for choosing the CEO. According to the trust, authorities reviewed 5585 applications. After evaluation, they held detailed discussions with 16 candidates.
Finally, the selection committee submitted a final list of three highly qualified candidates. The trust will announce the final decision officially.
