Raghav Chadha Gets Z Security: A Major Security Boost After Punjab Withdraws Protection!

Raghav Chadha receives Z security from the central government after Punjab’s AAP withdraws his protection. What’s behind this dramatic move?

After the Punjab AAP government withdrew Raghav Chadha’s security, the central government swiftly granted him Z security. Chadha will receive Z security cover in Delhi and Punjab, while he’ll have Y Plus security elsewhere. The Ministry of Home Affairs made this decision based on threat perception reports from the Intelligence Bureau.

AAP Removes Raghav Chadha from Key Position

Recently, AAP removed Raghav Chadha from his position as the Deputy Leader of the Party in the Rajya Sabha. The party also prohibited him from speaking in the House. Ashok Mittal has replaced Chadha as the Deputy Leader. This shift occurred as tensions grew between Chadha and the AAP leadership.

Enforcement Directorate Raids Ashok Mittal’s Properties

On the same day, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at Ashok Mittal’s properties in Jalandhar and his private university. This adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing political drama surrounding Chadha and AAP.

Chadha Responds to Being Silenced

Amid these changes, Raghav Chadha adopted a defiant stance. He responded to the allegations by releasing videos addressing them one by one. Regarding being silenced in the Rajya Sabha, Chadha remarked, “They can silence me, but they cannot defeat me.”

Security Issues and AAP’s Concerns

Raghav Chadha received security protection after AAP formed the Punjab government in 2022. However, AAP became uncomfortable with Chadha’s lack of response when key party leaders like Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Sanjay Singh faced legal challenges. His silence raised concerns within the party. It was eventually speculated that his security would be withdrawn following his removal from the Deputy Leader position in the Rajya Sabha. This speculation was confirmed today.

Understanding Z Security in India

Under Z security, Raghav Chadha will be assigned 22 security personnel, including 4-6 National Security Guard (NSG) commandos. Delhi Police, ITBP, CRPF, and local police officers will also provide support. This security arrangement ensures high-level protection for Chadha.
