Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi sharply criticized the government’s response to the rising oil prices and LPG shortages. Speaking in Parliament, Chaturvedi linked the USA’s actions and the timing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel. She suggested that the US supported Israel’s actions, which escalated the war. She pointed out that two days before the war started, Prime Minister Modi visited Israel.

Chaturvedi also raised concerns over the rising cost of cylinders and the government’s preparedness. She referred to the Petroleum Minister’s statement that India has 72 days of oil reserves and adequate LPG and LNG stocks. Despite these claims, Chaturvedi questioned the government’s actions, noting how the public saw no benefit from low oil prices.

Rising Oil Prices and Impact on Industries

Chaturvedi criticized the government’s failure to ensure that the public benefited from low oil prices in the past. She pointed out that when oil prices were low, oil companies made large profits without passing any benefits to the consumers. However, as oil prices began to rise, the government quickly raised LPG cylinder prices, affecting households across the country.

The MP also highlighted how industries dependent on gas were suffering. She specifically mentioned a crematorium in Pune, which had to shut down due to the LPG shortage. Chaturvedi demanded to know what preparations the government had made to address the growing energy crisis in the country.

Government’s Response to Rising Prices and LPG Shortages

During the session, the Petroleum Minister reassured Parliament that the country had sufficient fuel reserves. He confirmed that the government had enough LPG and LNG to meet the needs of the country. However, Chaturvedi remained skeptical of these claims, citing the current struggles faced by industries and common people due to the LPG shortages and rising prices.

Chaturvedi’s remarks reflect the growing dissatisfaction over the government’s handling of the energy crisis. As oil prices continue to rise and LPG shortages persist, many people feel the burden of the increased costs. Chaturvedi’s comments also point to the growing frustration with the government’s failure to address the needs of the public and industries.

The growing discontent among the public over rising energy costs is evident. As essential services and industries struggle with the shortage of LPG, citizens are becoming increasingly vocal about their concerns. Chaturvedi’s criticism of the government highlights the need for stronger action to address these issues.

India’s energy needs continue to be a pressing issue, and the government must take effective measures to ensure the public has access to affordable fuel and gas. The ongoing debate in Parliament reflects the urgency of finding solutions to the rising cost of living and energy supply.

Accountability and Future Measures

Priyanka Chaturvedi’s comments serve as a reminder of the growing challenges facing India’s energy sector. As oil prices continue to rise and LPG shortages persist, the government needs to take immediate and concrete action. Chaturvedi’s demand for accountability highlights the growing frustration of the people, who expect better management of the energy crisis. Moving forward, the government must prioritize energy security and address the concerns of industries and households.
