The opposition continued targeting the Modi government over pellet gun use during the CJP movement. Congress and other opposition parties demanded accountability from Home Minister Amit Shah.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi demanded Shah’s response on the issue. Meanwhile, Parliament faced repeated disruptions due to the ongoing disagreement.
Opposition Raises Slogans During Parliament Session
During the monsoon session on Friday, Lok Sabha witnessed fresh protests. Opposition members raised slogans demanding the Home Minister’s presence.
They shouted, “Home Minister come to the House.” Following the disruption, Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned until Monday.
Similarly, Rajya Sabha also witnessed uproar during the session. Members raised slogans including “Chanda Chor, Gaddi Chhod.” The House later faced intense disruption.
Rijiju Rejects Opposition’s Demand For Minister’s Appearance
Meanwhile, Kiren Rijiju responded to the opposition’s demand in Rajya Sabha. He said opposition members cannot decide who will answer questions.
However, the opposition continued demanding Amit Shah’s statement. Rijiju said the opposition would not listen if the Home Minister spoke.
Additionally, Rijiju stated that Amit Shah remains present in Parliament from morning until evening.
Rijiju Defends Amit Shah During Lok Sabha Debate
In Lok Sabha, Kiren Rijiju said Amit Shah arrives early at Parliament and leaves late at night. He called the opposition’s slogan method incorrect.
Furthermore, Rijiju praised Amit Shah and said terrorists and extremists fear his name. He added that opposition members would not listen when Shah responds.
Rijiju also explained that the minister handling the concerned business must respond according to rules. He said opposition leaders cannot decide the speaker.
Moreover, he accused opposition members of disturbing House proceedings. Later, Kiren Rijiju also met Home Minister Amit Shah.
