Parineeti Chopra Stands by Husband Raghav Chadha After His Removal as Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha

Parineeti Chopra Supports Husband Raghav Chadha Following His Removal as AAP Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha, Raises Public Concerns

Parineeti Chopra recently showed her support for her husband, Raghav Chadha, after his removal as the deputy leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Rajya Sabha. The decision came on Thursday when the party appointed Ashok Mittal to replace Chadha and informed the Rajya Sabha secretariat about the change.

What’s Happening

Raghav Chadha quickly responded to the development by sharing a video on Instagram. The clip compiled moments from his speeches in Parliament, highlighting concerns he raised about various public issues. He mentioned the tax burden on the middle class, banking penalties, food adulteration, air pollution, exam paper leaks, data privacy issues, and rising costs in sectors like aviation and healthcare.

The video ends with Chadha walking out of Parliament. He captioned the post with an evil eye emoji and wrote, “Silenced, not defeated.” He then questioned the reasons behind his removal, saying, “Whenever I get a chance to speak in the Parliament, I raise public issues. “Perhaps I raise topics that others usually don’t raise in Parliament. But am I committing a crime by raising public issues? Did I commit a crime? Did I make a mistake? Did I do something wrong?” He emphasized that he raised the issues to benefit the public.

Parineeti Chopra’s Support

In response, Parineeti Chopra re-shared the video on her Instagram Stories, showing her support for her husband. She has previously expressed admiration for his work in Parliament. When Raghav Chadha spoke about paternity leave in the Rajya Sabha, Parineeti posted a heartfelt note in support of him.

She said, “My dearest husband, You spoke today not just as an MP but as the dad, I see every single day. We have discussed this so many times. How our baby deserves both parents to be present – to the best of their ability. So when you spoke today, it wasn’t just policy. It was built from the way you parent our child, the way you show up without being asked, the way you understand that PARENTING IS SHARED, not assigned.”

Their Personal Life

Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra got engaged in May 2023 at Kapurthala House in New Delhi. They married later that year in Udaipur. The couple welcomed their son, Neer, in October 2025.

On the work front, Parineeti Chopra was last seen in Amar Singh Chamkila, where she starred alongside Diljit Dosanjh. She will next appear in the upcoming Netflix series Talaash: A Mother’s Search.
