Nepal faced severe destruction after sudden floods hit the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Nepal Prime Minister Balen Shah after the disaster.
During the conversation, PM Modi expressed grief over the loss of lives and property. He also assured complete humanitarian and relief assistance from India.

India Extends Support During Nepal’s Difficult Hour
Prime Minister Modi said Indians stand with Nepal’s people during this challenging period. He added that Indian teams are working together for rescue and relief operations.
Meanwhile, sources said the Indian Embassy in Nepal remains connected with Nepalese officials. The embassy is coordinating support for affected Indian citizens.
Additionally, efforts continue to provide quick rescue and relief assistance to Indians impacted by the disaster.
Floods Create Massive Damage In Nepal’s Rasuwa District
A sudden flood struck Nepal’s Rasuwa district near Tibet on Wednesday. The disaster left around 400 people missing, including at least 105 Indians.
So far, authorities confirmed 16 deaths after the flood. The Bhote Koshi River overflowed around 9 am and damaged nearby areas.
Furthermore, several riverside locations witnessed severe destruction. At least a dozen hydropower projects suffered damage due to the flood.
Videos from the disaster area showed water carrying away houses, vehicles and people rapidly.
Emergency Numbers Issued For Affected Indians
The Indian Embassy in Nepal released emergency contact numbers for assistance. Indian citizens can contact +977 985 131 6807 and +977 970 910 7500.
The embassy also confirmed that both numbers support WhatsApp communication. Citizens needing information or help can use these emergency channels.
Border States Receive Flood Alert
Following the Nepal flood situation, bordering districts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh received alerts.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary regarding the flood situation.
