Akash Anand Out Of BSP: Mayawati’s Big Move After Ashok Siddharth Exit

BSP chief Mayawati removed nephew Akash Anand from the party after his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth announced political retirement

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati removed her nephew Akash Anand from the party. The decision created major political discussions before the Uttar Pradesh elections. Earlier, Mayawati placed a condition before Akash Anand regarding his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth’s political retirement. However, after Siddharth accepted retirement, Mayawati also decided to separate Akash Anand from BSP.

Ashok Siddharth Retirement Failed To Save Akash Anand

Previously, Mayawati offered Akash Anand a party role if Ashok Siddharth left politics. Following this condition, Ashok Siddharth announced his retirement from political activities. However, Mayawati later announced Akash Anand’s removal from BSP.

Meanwhile, Mayawati shared her views through a post on X. She said Ashok Siddharth took the right decision, although he made it late. According to her, an earlier retirement could have prevented difficult situations for the Bahujan movement and Akash Anand.

Furthermore, Mayawati said she had to take strict organisational decisions during election preparations. She added that these decisions affected the movement’s work and party structure.

Mayawati Questions Family Priorities Over Party Work

Mayawati criticised Ashok Siddharth and said his retirement came after unnecessary delay. She claimed that if he cared about Akash Anand’s future and the Bahujan movement, he would have retired earlier.

Additionally, Mayawati said timely retirement could have helped Akash Anand remain active in party activities. She also questioned Siddharth’s intentions and said his ambitions remained unchanged.

Regarding Akash Anand, Mayawati said he showed greater attachment towards his father-in-law than his own political career. She claimed Akash did not repost a BSP post made for his benefit.

Moreover, Mayawati said both Akash Anand and Ashok Siddharth appeared more focused on personal or family interests. She reminded them that BSP helped them rise from ordinary backgrounds to important positions.

Akash Anand Freed From BSP Completely

Mayawati questioned how Akash Anand could work for the party when personal relationships mattered more to him. She said party members believed removing him completely was the better decision.

Earlier, BSP had removed Akash Anand from the important position of national coordinator. Now, Mayawati announced his complete separation from the party.

Finally, she said Akash Anand wanted freedom from BSP and the movement. Therefore, the party decided to make him completely independent.
