A woman filed a complaint against Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter Abhishek Porel. She alleged that Porel established relations after promising marriage. According to her complaint, he later refused to marry her. Police subsequently arrested Porel and produced him before a court. However, Porel denied the allegations against him.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru fast bowler Yash Dayal has also faced such accusations. In 2025, a woman registered a rape case against him in Ghaziabad. Later, another woman filed a separate complaint against Dayal in Jaipur. Both matters remain part of legal proceedings. Therefore, courts have yet to deliver final decisions regarding those allegations.
Shivalik Sharma and Vipraj Nigam Cases Remain Under Legal Process
A woman filed a rape complaint against Shivalik Sharma in Jodhpur during January 2025. She alleged that Sharma established relations after their engagement. According to her, he later ended the relationship. Police arrested Shivalik following the complaint. The case currently remains before the court.
Meanwhile, a woman from Uttar Pradesh complained against Vipraj Nigam in Noida during November 2025. She alleged that Nigam raped her inside a hotel after promising marriage. Furthermore, the complainant accused him of assaulting her physically. Legal proceedings in this matter also continue.
Sandeep Lamichhane Case Reached Both Lower and Higher Courts
Nepal cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane faced a rape allegation from a minor girl in 2022. Police arrested him in connection with that case. Subsequently, a lower court convicted Lamichhane.
