Amid the ongoing CJP protest in Delhi, the central government has shown readiness for discussions. Government sources said Union Minister JP Nadda met Sonam Wangchuk. The meeting continued for nearly 45 minutes. However, Nadda said the government remains ready whenever CJP members seek talks.
Furthermore, he said the government will discuss every issue and aspect. He added that discussions can help find solutions.
CJP Accepts Dialogue Offer With Certain Conditions
Meanwhile, CJP also agreed to the government’s dialogue proposal. CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said the organisation remains ready for discussions. However, he placed some conditions before the meeting. The government said dialogue options remain open for CJP.
According to the government, CJP can approach talks whenever it wants. Officials said they will understand concerns through discussions.
Moreover, the Delhi protest continues, while attention remains on possible communication between both sides.
CJP Sets Conditions For Meeting With Government
Saurav Das said the government earlier claimed CJP avoided talks. However, he said the government has now shown willingness. Therefore, he believes the process can move forward. Das added that CJP leaders will not visit any leader’s home. Instead, he suggested that government representatives should visit Jantar Mantar. Alternatively, both sides can meet at a common location.
He also suggested places like Constitution Club for a possible discussion.
Police Officials Also Contacted CJP Leaders
Saurav Das revealed that senior Delhi Police officials contacted CJP on Wednesday morning. The officials said the government wanted discussions with the group. However, Das repeated that CJP leaders would not visit any leader’s residence. According to him, the government should have started talks on the first day of the protest.
Additionally, Das said the government had offered discussions earlier as well. He stated that everyone understands problems require dialogue for solutions.
