The investigation into Haryanvi singer Ankit Baliyan’s murder has received a major update. Photos of the alleged attackers have surfaced. The accused reportedly conducted surveillance before carrying out the attack. Now, their pictures are circulating on social media. Police had continuously examined nearby CCTV footage after the incident. Meanwhile, investigators found important clues through the available visuals.
Police Search For Attackers After CCTV Breakthrough
The incident took place in Nala Patri Aryapuri area under Shamli Sadar Kotwali. Police are now searching for suspects using their photographs. According to police information, unknown attackers shot Ankit Baliyan while he left a gym. The incident happened in Shamli. Police received information through Dial 112 about the attack. Officers immediately reached the location and took control of the situation. The police recorded necessary procedures and started the postmortem process. Ankit, a resident of Bantīkheda, died at the spot.
Shamli Superintendent of Police N.P. Singh said teams have been formed. These teams are investigating the case and searching for accused persons.
He added that police teams are examining every possible angle. Officials aim to reveal the complete incident soon.
Investigation Connects Case With Haryana And Sonipat Angle
Police inquiry revealed that Ankit created songs while living in Sonipat. However, after a dispute there, he moved away. Therefore, investigators are exploring a possible Haryana and Sonipat connection. Police are also coordinating with Haryana Police. Several teams continue efforts to identify and arrest the accused. Meanwhile, Ankit Baliyan’s family members remain angry after the murder.
The singer’s father continues protests demanding immediate arrest of those responsible. His final rites will take place on Thursday, August 27.
During the funeral, police and PAC forces will remain deployed in his village. Authorities are maintaining security arrangements.
