In the quick commerce era, running out of cooking gas may soon become less stressful. Furthermore, Swiggy Instamart and HPCL have launched India’s first on-demand LPG cylinder delivery service.
Now, customers can order LPG cylinders through the Swiggy Instamart app like regular groceries. Additionally, the service allows users to access HP Navya composite LPG cylinders digitally.
The partnership introduces a new way to purchase LPG cylinders through a quick commerce platform. Moreover, customers do not need an existing domestic LPG connection for ordering.
This service will initially start in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, companies have not announced any timeline for expansion beyond Bengaluru.
How The New LPG Ordering System Works
Instamart and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited announced the new service together. Through this partnership, HPCL introduces its next-generation 10 kg HP Navya composite LPG cylinder. Bengaluru customers can order HP Navya cylinders and existing 5 kg metal LPG cylinders through the Instamart app.
The first purchase will count as a new cylinder order. Therefore, customers must complete identity verification and provide delivery proof documents. Future orders will work as refills. During refill delivery, customers must return the empty cylinder.
Additionally, the service benefits students, working professionals, and small families. These groups may not always have formal LPG connections.
HP Navya Cylinder Focuses On Convenience And Safety
HPCL introduced HP Navya as a lighter and rust-resistant alternative to traditional steel cylinders. Furthermore, its transparent body allows users to check gas levels easily. The company designed the compact cylinder for apartments, smaller families, and households needing a convenient secondary LPG option.
Moreover, Instamart orders will reach customers through HPCL’s registered distributor network. Trained distributor employees will handle deliveries under safety and regulatory standards. Therefore, the service combines digital ordering with established LPG distribution systems.
Companies Explain Vision Behind New Partnership
Instamart CEO Amitesh Jha said the company expanded beyond groceries to become part of daily consumer needs. Furthermore, he explained that the HPCL partnership maintains safety and trust standards. It also extends convenience toward an essential household service. HPCL Marketing Director Amit Garg said the company focuses on making LPG more accessible for the “new India”.
Additionally, he highlighted safety and trust as key priorities for the service.
According to Garg, the Instamart partnership helps HPCL reach customers through faster digital platforms.
Moreover, the collaboration aims to improve customer experience through technology-driven delivery solutions.
