Aamir Khan rejected the allegations and explained that religion never affected his personal relationships. Moreover, he discussed the issue during an interview with Rediff. The actor said, “Gauri, Kiran or Reena did not change their religion because our marriages were civil marriages.” Aamir explained that Gauri is not Hindu but Christian. He added that she does not strongly follow religious practices.
According to the actor, life becomes more interesting with time. Additionally, he stated that his relationships always depended on mutual respect and personal choices. The actor also discussed his family’s acceptance of interfaith relationships. He explained that his family has accepted such marriages for many years.

He shared, “The truth is our family is very social and believes in taking everyone together.” Furthermore, he revealed that both his sisters married Hindu men. Meanwhile, reports claimed that Muslim Personal Darul Ifta’s Shahi Chief Mufti Maulana Chaudhary Ibrahim Hussain issued a fatwa against Aamir Khan. According to reports, the statement opposed a Muslim man marrying a non-Muslim woman.The reported opinion stated that such a marriage requires the woman to accept Islam.
