Israel’s Eid Greetings Spark Fury in Iran, Diplomatic Tensions Rise Amid ‘Butcher’ Remark

Israel wished Muslims worldwide a happy Bakrid on social media, provoking sharp criticism from Iran’s Hyderabad-based commercial embassy

Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) is celebrated globally, including Israel, which extended greetings on social media platforms. Israel posted on X, saying, “From Jerusalem, heartfelt Eid-ul-Adha greetings to Muslims in Israel and across the world. Eid Mubarak.”

Iran Reacts Sharply

The Iranian commercial embassy in Hyderabad reacted strongly, calling Israel a “butcher” in response. They criticized the greetings given by Jerusalem. The embassy stated, “The butcher is giving heartfelt Eid-ul-Azha greetings.”

Peaceful Greetings to India

Meanwhile, Iran’s embassy in India wished all Indians a blessed Eid. On X, they posted, “On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, we extend greetings to India’s government and beloved citizens, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this auspicious festival bring peace, prosperity, and joy, strengthening historic and cultural bonds between our nations. Eid Mubarak!”

President Masoud Pezeshkian Extends Wishes

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also conveyed Eid greetings. He discussed with leaders of Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Turkey, Tajikistan, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan, expressing hope that Allah brings Muslims closer. He emphasized regional cooperation and standing stronger together against challenges while extending heartfelt Bakrid wishes.
