Rahul Gandhi’s Foreign Trips Spark BJP Attack: ₹11 Crore Income, ₹60 Crore Travel Question

BJP questions Rahul Gandhi’s 54 private foreign visits over 22 years, asking who funded trips with 3-4 companions each time.

Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has again left for a foreign trip. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party strongly attacked him over his overseas visits. BJP claimed that Rahul took 54 private foreign tours in 22 years. Moreover, the party asked who funds these journeys. Also, BJP said 3-4 people travel abroad with him every time.

Sambit Patra Targets Rahul’s Travel Record

BJP leader Sambit Patra questioned Rahul Gandhi’s foreign travel details. He said Rahul has held an elected post for nearly 22 years. During this period, Patra said, Rahul went abroad several times. Officially, his foreign visits reach 54. However, Patra argued that these tours appear public, but their funding does not.

Patra further claimed that 3-4 people joined Rahul Gandhi on every foreign journey. According to him, these trips cost ₹60 crore in total. Then, he cited Rahul’s income details from 2013-14 to 2022-23. Patra said Rahul earned ₹11 crore in 10 years. Therefore, he questioned how ₹11 crore income supported ₹60 crore travel spending.

BJP Lists Countries And Public Records

While sharing foreign trip details, Sambit Patra named several countries. He said Rahul Gandhi visited Italy, England, America, Germany, Vietnam, Singapore, Bahrain, Maldives, Qatar, and UAE. Further, he claimed most of these journeys exist on record.

Patra also said several public records support these travel details. He mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s public host page, press travel programmes, parliamentary absence records, and photographs. So, according to Patra, the trips themselves remain visible. However, the funding sources behind them do not appear publicly.

Funding Question Becomes BJP’s Main Attack

Patra stressed that public trips should also carry clear funding details. Besides, he argued that people can see travel records, but not payment sources. Therefore, BJP asked one direct question again. Who funds Rahul Gandhi’s foreign travel?

Now, this issue has turned into a political attack over income, expenses, and transparency. Also, BJP has placed Rahul Gandhi’s 22-year travel record at the centre of its charge.
