Mayawati Raises Brahmin Safety Alarm After UP Cabinet Expansion, Questions BJP’s Governance Test

Mayawati called UP cabinet expansion BJP’s internal matter, but said people must see real gains in welfare, safety, justice, and law order.

Bahujan Samaj Party national president Mayawati reacted sharply after the Uttar Pradesh cabinet expansion. The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party through a public statement. However, she called cabinet expansion an internal matter of the ruling party. Still, she said people must receive real benefits from it.

BSP Chief Calls It BJP’s Internal Matter

Mayawati wrote on social media platform X about the expansion. She said reducing, increasing, or expanding a cabinet mostly reflects internal political thinking. Therefore, she said direct comment on Sunday’s Uttar Pradesh cabinet expansion would not seem proper. Even then, she added an important condition.

Public Interest Must Show Results

According to Mayawati, the expansion must create a positive effect for ordinary people. Moreover, she said poor people across all communities must see better outcomes. She also mentioned workers, farmers, and youth. Additionally, she stressed women’s safety and dignity as key areas.

Warning Over Political Adjustment

Mayawati said people may reject the expansion if no improvement appears. Then, they may call it a political adjustment. They may also view it as an added burden on government resources. Therefore, she suggested that cabinet changes must prove their value through public welfare.

Safety And Justice Come First

The BSP chief also raised concerns about every social group. She said weak sections must feel secure in life, property, and religion. Moreover, they must feel that justice reaches them. She said government actions and ministers’ conduct should clearly reflect this responsibility.

Constitutional Duty Of Ministers

Mayawati said governments and ministers carry this first constitutional responsibility. Therefore, she argued that security and justice must appear in governance. She also linked this point with recent concerns in Lucknow. After that, she referred to an attack on a BJP youth leader.

Attack On BJP Youth Leader Sparks Concern

Mayawati mentioned a recent deadly attack in capital Lucknow. The victim belonged to the Brahmin community and BJP’s youth leadership. After this incident, people again started discussing law and order. Moreover, they also began discussing Brahmin security in Uttar Pradesh.

Mayawati Flags Brahmin Insecurity

The BSP leader said people now feel Brahmins face neglect in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, she said many see the community as highly unsafe. Mayawati called this matter extremely worrying. Through this remark, she widened the debate beyond cabinet expansion.

BSP Governments Claimed Better Record

Mayawati then referred to BSP governments in Uttar Pradesh. She said those governments protected every community’s life, property, and religion. Moreover, she said BSP ensured strong law and order. She also said Brahmins and all other groups received justice and safety.

Sarvajan Hitay Message Repeated

Mayawati linked that claim to BSP’s policy and principle. She cited “Sarvajan Hitay and Sarvajan Sukhay” as the guiding approach. According to her, BSP followed that principle for all social groups. Finally, she said this record remains widely known.
