Punjab Assembly Drama: AAP-Congress Clash Over Serious Allegations Against CM Bhagwant Mann

Congress accuses CM Bhagwant Mann of being intoxicated in Punjab Assembly; a dramatic walkout ensues amid fierce debate.

The one-day session of the Punjab Assembly was filled with drama on Friday. Shortly after the session began, opposition party Congress staged a walkout. They accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of being intoxicated while attending the session.

Congress members called him a “drunkard” and claimed he arrived at the Assembly under the influence of alcohol.

In addition to these accusations, Congress lawmakers chanted slogans like “Drunken CM Go Back” during the session. This sparked a heated debate between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators.

Opposition Leader Pratap Singh Bajwa’s Statement

Following these allegations, Punjab’s Leader of Opposition, Pratap Singh Bajwa, made a strong statement. He explained that Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira had accused CM Bhagwant Mann of attending the session while drunk. Bajwa then suggested that all the members undergo alcohol tests to confirm who had consumed alcohol.

This intense confrontation led to Congress lawmakers walking out in protest, further escalating the tensions in the Assembly.
