Amit Shah recently announced that if BJP forms the government, Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented within six months. This promise ensures equal laws for all residents of Bengal. Women and Poor Empowerment
For women, Shah proposed several welfare schemes. These include creating 75 lakh “Lakpati Didis” and providing free bus travel. Additionally, pregnant women will receive financial aid of ₹21,000. Shah also announced plans to offer ₹3,000 monthly support to unemployed youth and create one crore jobs.
Infrastructure and Development Plans
Shah outlined plans for Bengal’s development, including making Kolkata a world-class city. Other infrastructure plans include expanding the metro network, strengthening bridges, and developing the Haldia Port. He also mentioned establishing an industrial park in Singur.
Education and Industry Growth
In education, Shah proposed opening IITs, AIIMS, and fashion design institutes in North Bengal. Furthermore, he promised to improve the ease of doing business in the state and end the influence of syndicates. He also committed to addressing issues like law and order, corruption, and political violence.

Amit Shah highlighted BJP’s commitment to building a “Sonar Bangla” under “trustworthy governance.” He stressed that with Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is advancing, and now it’s Bengal’s turn.
