Ceasefire Talks On Edge, Asif’s ‘Cancer’ Remark Triggers Netanyahu’s Sharp Counterattack

Amid Iran-US ceasefire efforts, Pakistan’s defence minister sparks controversy while Israel responds strongly and tensions rise over Lebanon conflict

Amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East, tensions increased between Pakistan and Israel through strong statements. Moreover Pakistan’s defence minister Khawaja Asif made a controversial remark about Israel. Following his statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a sharp response.

Asif Targets Israel With Strong Words

Khawaja Asif posted on social media while peace talks preparations continued in Islamabad. He said killings continued in Lebanon during these preparations. Furthermore he accused Israel of shedding innocent blood in Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon. Additionally he described Israel as a curse and compared it to cancer. He also said creators of such a country should burn in hell.

Israel Rejects Remarks Strongly

Benjamin Netanyahu strongly objected to Asif’s remarks and called them unacceptable. He said no government should tolerate such statements, especially from a country claiming peace involvement. Moreover Israel’s foreign minister Gideon Saar also criticized Pakistan sharply. He stated such comments remain dangerous and encourage violence against Israel. He also said Israel will take every necessary step for security.

Conflict Continues in Lebanon

Meanwhile the controversy emerged during ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Recent attacks caused hundreds of deaths and increased regional tensions. Moreover disagreement continues over whether Lebanon forms part of the ceasefire. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the ceasefire applies to the entire region including Lebanon. However Israel and the United States said Lebanon remains outside the agreement.

Talks Planned But Strikes Continue

Meanwhile Israel and Lebanon may hold talks in the United States next week. However Israel already confirmed it will continue military action against Hezbollah. At the same time Iran signaled possible delay in peace talks with the United States. This delay may happen if attacks in Lebanon do not stop.

Therefore diplomatic efforts continue alongside ongoing strikes and harsh statements. Consequently the situation has become more complicated despite attempts for dialogue.
