Actor Arjun Rampal shared how Dhurandhar helped him channel emotions from the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Moreover, he described the film as his way of expressing revenge.
A Night That Changed Everything
During his speech, he recalled witnessing the attacks firsthand on his birthday. Meanwhile, he planned to visit the Taj Hotel with friends for celebrations.
However, events took a sudden turn when a bomb exploded near Mahim. He heard the sound clearly and noticed glass shaking around him.
Initial Confusion and Rising Panic
Initially, people informed him that a gang war had started in Colaba. However, within minutes, phones started ringing with alarming updates.
Soon after, authorities sealed the entire Four Seasons hotel for safety reasons. Additionally, Adarsh Jatia offered him a suite and advised staying inside.
Therefore, Arjun Rampal spent his birthday watching the unfolding horrors of 26/11.
Emotional Impact of the Incident

Later, when Aditya Dhar narrated a 26/11 scene, he felt a strong emotional connection. Consequently, he decided to channel his experience through the film.
Dhurandhar as Personal Expression
He stated that Dhurandhar became his form of revenge for that painful experience. Furthermore, he expressed pride by saying, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
