Bihar Crime Cases Spark Political Storm: Tejashwi Targets Government, Chirag Demands Action

After incidents in Jamui, Samastipur and Banka involving minor girls, political leaders raised concerns over law enforcement and accountability.

A series of videos showing alleged harassment, abuse, and assault involving minor girls has sparked concern in Bihar. Recently, incidents from Jamui, Samastipur, and Banka raised questions about law and order. Therefore, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav attacked the state government over these cases.

The latest incident came from Mandar Mountain in Banka, a historical tourist location. Meanwhile, Tejashwi questioned Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and demanded answers about the accused.

Tejashwi Yadav Questions Government Over Cases

Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said Bihar’s law and order situation had collapsed. He asked about the remaining five accused from the Jamui case. Additionally, he questioned the punishment given to Samastipur accused. Furthermore, Tejashwi asked when authorities would arrest the accused involved in Banka. He also questioned whether the Chief Minister would consider their “reel” and caste before responding. Through an X post, Tejashwi criticised Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. He claimed that unnecessary interference and immature decisions were weakening justice and a civil society.

Moreover, the RJD leader accused the Chief Minister of considering caste while deciding punishment. He questioned why social background should matter during justice for crimes against minor girls.

Chirag Paswan Demands Action Against Officials

Union Minister Chirag Paswan called these incidents extremely worrying and shameful. He said authorities must take action against officials responsible for such failures. According to Chirag, arrests and encounters alone cannot stop such incidents. He demanded action against officers under whose watch such acts occur.

He also said open misconduct against girls remains a serious concern. For him, even one such incident during their government remains a matter of shame.

Additionally, Chirag mentioned the Jamui case response by local MP Arun Bharti. He said authorities completed arrests and an encounter followed.

However, Chirag stated that only arrests or encounters cannot prevent such crimes. He stressed accountability for officials who ignore such activities.

He also said he discussed the issue with Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. Furthermore, he demanded a zero-tolerance approach against such cases.

Three Major Incidents Involving Minor Girls In Bihar

Earlier, Jamui witnessed a disturbing video involving a student at Marwa Hill. Police arrested the main accused Nandan Yadav after shooting him in the leg during an encounter. Later, Samastipur’s Karpurigram area reported another harassment case. Police acted quickly and sent four accused youths to jail.

Now, a viral Banka video has created further concern. The footage allegedly shows three to four youths surrounding and intimidating a girl.

Therefore, attention remains on Banka police and their action against those accused in the Mandar Mountain incident.
