Furthermore, reports suggest that Modi may hold a bilateral meeting with Trump during the summit. The possible discussion could focus on India-US relations, trade matters, and energy issues. Both countries continue talks on several economic concerns.

During the possible Florida visit, Modi and Trump may discuss ongoing concerns between both nations. Trade discussions remain an important topic in their relationship.
Additionally, India’s purchase of oil from Russia has become another significant issue. Therefore, a possible Modi-Trump meeting may include talks on trade and energy security.
India-US Tensions Over Russian Oil Continue
The United States and India have differences over India’s continued oil purchases from Russia. Meanwhile, Trump has warned about imposing 100 percent tariffs on goods imported from India.
According to recent reports, trade talks have faced challenges due to possible US restrictions and tariffs against countries buying Russian oil. Hence, energy and commerce may remain central topics if both leaders meet.
Sergio Goré Hinted At Modi’s Possible Visit
US Ambassador to India Sergio Goré recently indicated the possibility of Modi attending the December G20 Summit. During a September interaction, he said Trump would prefer meeting Modi among G20 leaders.
Moreover, Goré suggested that Modi’s visit may extend beyond the main G20 gathering. However, India has not released any official schedule for the visit.

Preparations are also underway for a possible Quad leaders’ meeting during the G20 Summit. Leaders from India, the US, Japan, and Australia may participate.
