China President Xi Jinping’s health became a topic of discussion after a new claim surfaced. Chinese Democracy Party (CDP) Chairman Ji Wanjun made the statement about Xi’s condition. According to Wanjun, Xi returned to China after attending the BRICS Summit in India. He claimed that authorities took Xi from Beijing airport directly to Beijing 301 Hospital through a military helicopter. Wanjun further claimed that Xi received emergency medical treatment at the hospital. However, Chinese authorities, Beijing 301 Hospital, and reliable independent sources have not confirmed these claims.
Questions Around Xi’s Return After Summit
Ji Wanjun reportedly referred to alleged eyewitness accounts regarding Xi’s arrival in Beijing. He claimed that Xi did not receive the regular official welcome usually seen at the airport. According to his statement, a large number of officials were not present during the arrival. He also claimed that no formal welcome ceremony took place. Wanjun alleged that Xi went directly to the hospital after landing in Beijing.
BRICS Summit Health Claim Remains Unverified
The CDP chairman also claimed that Xi faced health issues during the BRICS Summit in New Delhi. He stated that Xi’s medical team helped him during the situation. Furthermore, Wanjun claimed that Xi ended his India visit before the planned schedule. However, these claims have not received independent confirmation. China’s government, Beijing 301 Hospital, or any trusted independent source have not verified Xi’s alleged hospital visit.
Xi Did Not Attend PM Modi’s Gala Dinner
During the BRICS Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Xi Jinping held a bilateral meeting. However, Xi did not attend the gala dinner hosted by PM Modi. Officials did not publicly reveal the reason behind his absence. Xi visited India for the BRICS Summit after nearly seven years. Earlier, he travelled to India in October 2019 for an informal summit in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu.
