PM Modi’s Vadodara Event Creates Digital Booking Frenzy, Seats Filled Within An Hour

For the first time, PM Modi’s programme used BookMyShow registration, with thousands joining the waiting list after all slots filled quickly.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vadodara programme on September 8 has received an overwhelming response. For the first time, organisers opened free registrations through BookMyShow for the event. Within nearly one hour, all available seats reached full capacity. Moreover, more than 42,000 people entered the waiting list before registrations closed. This response reflects strong public interest in the programme.

The event will follow a completely digital entry system using technology. Therefore, registered attendees will receive a digital M-ticket through their BookMyShow accounts. The ticket will contain a secure live QR code. Officials will scan this code at entry gates to verify attendees.

Technology-Based Entry for Smooth Crowd Management

Furthermore, organisers are digitising the entire process from registration to verification. The system will also manage venue entry and seating arrangements digitally. This approach aims to reduce long queues and prevent crowd buildup near entry points. As a result, visitors can enter the venue smoothly.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Maharashtra on Tuesday. During his Vadodara visit, he will present development projects worth more than ₹35,000 crore. Additionally, he will dedicate three key sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor to the nation.

The freight corridor stretches across 326 kilometres. It has developed with a cost exceeding ₹20,700 crore. These sections will improve freight movement and strengthen transport infrastructure.

Railway Projects to Strengthen Connectivity

Besides this, PM Modi will lay the foundation stones for three railway projects. These projects cover 329 kilometres and involve costs above ₹9,700 crore. The projects include Vadodara-Ratlam third and fourth railway lines. They also include Miyagam Karjan-Choranda-Malsar gauge conversion and Vishwamitri-Dabhoi doubling projects.

Together, these railway initiatives will increase passenger and freight capacity. Additionally, they will reduce traffic pressure and improve connectivity between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
