A disturbing incident has raised serious concerns about children’s safety in Navi Mumbai. A private school van driver allegedly assaulted a three-year-old girl. Police arrested the accused driver after the child’s family filed a complaint.
According to information, the girl attended school like her usual routine. After school ended, the van driver started dropping children at their homes. Later, other children left the vehicle because their houses came earlier on the route. The three-year-old girl remained alone inside the van because her home was the final stop.
Child describes painful experience to family
The driver allegedly took advantage of the situation and committed the incident at a deserted location. When the child reached home, she cried and informed her family about what happened. Her parents rushed to the police station after hearing her statement.
The family registered a complaint against the school van driver. Subsequently, police took immediate action and arrested the accused. The family said the child explained the incident and described her discomfort after reaching home.
The child reportedly told her parents, “Driver uncle troubled me a lot today.” She also said she had severe stomach pain after the incident.
