Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever witnessed the exchange of important MoUs on Thursday. The ceremony took place at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. Both countries signed these agreements to strengthen cooperation across key areas.
During the meeting, PM Modi discussed historic India-Belgium relations. Furthermore, he highlighted growing cooperation in defence and clean energy sectors. He also spoke about the current global situation.

PM Modi welcomes Belgian Prime Minister
PM Modi warmly welcomed Bart De Wever during his India visit. He said this marked De Wever’s first visit to India. However, his connection with the country remained old.
Bart De Wever served as the Mayor of Antwerp for a long period. During that time, he supported the large Indian community living there. Additionally, he encouraged India-Belgium diamond trade relations.
PM Modi said the relationship between both nations has deep roots. The two countries continue building cooperation through shared interests and partnerships.
