The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian squad for Afghanistan’s T20 series. The three-match series will begin on September 13.
India and Afghanistan will face each other in Delhi across all three matches. Afghanistan will host the series in the national capital.
Meanwhile, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the squad. However, all-rounder Hardik Pandya missed selection due to fitness issues.
Several Injured Players Return To International Cricket
The squad brings positive news as several injured players regain fitness. They will return to international cricket through this series.
Mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy has earned his place after recovering. Spin all-rounder Washington Sundar also returns to the team.
Additionally, seam all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy gets included in the squad. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah also makes his comeback.

The Indian squad features Shreyas Iyer as captain. The team includes several young and experienced players.
Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Sanju Samson, and Ishan Kishan are part of the squad. Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube also receive selection.
Furthermore, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar strengthen the all-rounder options. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi provide spin choices.
