The Ankit Balian murder case has revealed several new details after two alleged shooters died during an encounter. Police identified the shooters as Sumit and Mohit. Investigators say both men stayed at a Shamli hotel before conducting surveillance. Initially, the killers planned Ankit’s murder in Haryana. Later, they selected Shamli for the attack. On August 26, four attackers opened fire after Ankit left his gym. Doctors later declared him dead after hospital admission.

Investigators also uncovered a digital network behind the alleged conspiracy. Police say shooters received orders through Snapchat. Now, investigators are examining connected people and contacts. Digital evidence may help officers trace the wider network behind Ankit’s killing.
Bhola Shahpuriya Emerges As Main Link
Police named Haryana criminal Rahul alias Bhola Shahpuriya as a key conspiracy link. The SP said Bhola supplied weapons and money to shooters. He also allegedly gave instructions for executing the attack. Meanwhile, investigators examined a social media post claiming responsibility after Ankit’s death. Police traced that post while searching for overseas connections.
Canada Connection Leads Investigators To Chirag
According to police, Bhola’s cousin Chirag lives in Canada. Investigators allege that Chirag operated and supported gang activities from abroad. Police traced the responsibility post to Chirag’s Canadian number. Officers now seek clarity about his alleged role. They also want to establish how overseas instructions reached local shooters.
Goggi Gang Network Also Under Investigation
The investigation has also reached gangster Jitendra Mann alias Goggi’s network. Police say several associates continued operating after Goggi’s death. Investigators also linked Goggi’s nephew Monty Mann with overseas gang activities. Therefore, officers are examining links among local shooters, Haryana gangs and foreign contacts.
Harshita Dahiya Case Link Under Probe
Police also found the names Sumit and Mohit in the Harshita Dahiya murder investigation. Both men later died during the August 31 encounter. Police killed them during an encounter within Shamli Sadar Kotwali limits. They reportedly fired at officers near Hotel Rajmahal after fleeing towards Manna Majra. Two police personnel suffered injuries during the exchange.
