Haryanvi singer Ankit Baliyan was shot dead in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. After the incident, his father Satyaveer Singh started a protest demanding immediate action.
He demanded that the person responsible for his son’s murder should come before him. Satyaveer Singh said the protest would continue until authorities present the accused.
Father Demands Killer’s Appearance During Protest
Speaking to the media, Satyaveer Singh said he only wanted his son’s killer brought before him. He added that nothing beyond this demand mattered to the family.
He said, “Bring the person who killed my son before me.” According to him, the protest would continue without any change.
Furthermore, Satyaveer Singh said his son had no personal disputes. He claimed Ankit did not maintain contact with anyone outside Haryana.
He explained that Ankit lived in Haryana and had connections there only. However, he mentioned a committee that interacted with him.
Singer Was Attacked After Leaving Gym
According to the details, attackers shot Ankit Baliyan on Wednesday evening. The incident happened while he was leaving his gym.
Soon after receiving information, Shamli Kotwali police reached the location. Officials took the body and completed the required procedures.
Superintendent of Police NP Singh shared details about the incident. He said Ankit visited a gym in Kotwali city for exercise.
The officer stated that attackers shot him after he left the gym. Doctors declared him dead after he reached the hospital.
Police Investigate Haryana And Sonipat Connection
Police said initial information revealed four people arrived on two motorcycles. The investigation team recovered two to three empty cartridges from the spot. Meanwhile, officers are examining CCTV footage to identify the accused. Multiple teams are working to solve the case. Police officials also found information about Ankit’s stay in Sonipat. They said he created songs there before moving after a dispute.
Therefore, investigators are examining a possible Haryana and Sonipat connection. Police are also coordinating with Haryana authorities.
The police have formed several teams for a quick investigation and arrest of those responsible.
