During the Lok Sabha discussion on the anti-paper leak bill, Rahul Gandhi made a serious allegation. He claimed Union Home Minister Amit Shah ordered the use of pellet guns against protesters.

The statement triggered a major uproar inside the House. Consequently, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi.

Rijiju said the House could not function with such remarks. Later, the Lok Sabha proceedings faced disruption and adjourned until 2:30 pm.

Rijiju Demands Proof And Calls For Apology

Kiren Rijiju questioned Rahul Gandhi’s claim and asked him to provide evidence. He asked Rahul to present the order copy and name the officer involved.

Furthermore, Rijiju said discussions cannot continue through unverified statements. He added that Parliament requires responsible statements from members. Rijiju said leaders cannot make allegations only to gain headlines. He also stated that Rahul should apologise for the remark. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav supported the concern raised during the debate. He said the government must explain who ordered action against children.

Rahul Gandhi Makes Strong Remarks Against Amit Shah

Rahul Gandhi criticised Amit Shah during his Lok Sabha speech. He said the Home Minister lacked courage to attend the House. Additionally, Rahul claimed he saw Amit Shah’s convoy with 30 vehicles. He said the Home Minister looked frightened and avoided attending Parliament.

Rahul alleged that children faced pellet attacks during the protest. He further claimed Amit Shah ordered officials to shock the children.
