CM Urges Public To Avoid Panic
Abdullah said people ignore verified government information. However, they quickly believe social media rumours. Therefore, he asked citizens to rely only on official sources.
He clarified that the central government has already confirmed adequate fuel supply. Moreover, there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or LPG.
Warning Against Panic Buying
The Chief Minister appealed to people not to rush to petrol pumps. Furthermore, he warned against crowding due to fear.
He also issued a strong warning about possible action. If panic worsens, authorities may temporarily close petrol pumps. Therefore, he urged responsible behaviour.
Meeting On Global Situation
Abdullah mentioned an upcoming online meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Moreover, leaders will discuss the situation in Iran and nearby regions.
He confirmed his participation in this discussion. Additionally, he reiterated that fuel availability remains stable nationwide.
Centre Confirms Fuel Availability
The central government also issued a clear statement on Thursday. Moreover, officials confirmed around 60 days of fuel reserves.
Authorities stated that petrol, diesel, and LPG remain available without shortage. Furthermore, they described shortage rumours as a deliberate misinformation campaign.
Strong Supply And Refining Capacity
The Petroleum Ministry assured that all petrol pumps have sufficient stock. Moreover, India ranks among top global refining nations.
The country stands as the fourth or fifth largest exporter of refined fuel. Additionally, India supplies fuel to over 150 countries.
Refineries currently operate above full capacity. Therefore, domestic fuel availability remains structurally secure.
