India Secures Safe Passage for LPG Tankers Through Hormuz

Amid war tensions, Iran clears Jag Vasant and Pine Gas, highlighting India’s diplomatic edge in securing critical energy routes.

Diplomatic Efforts Show Results

Amid intense conflict in West Asia, India has achieved another key diplomatic success. Moreover, Iran has allowed two more Indian LPG tankers to cross the Hormuz Strait.

Jag Vasant And Pine Gas Get Clearance

According to available information, Iran approved Indian LPG tankers Jag Vasant and Pine Gas for passage. Additionally, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps granted this permission.

Furthermore, CNN-News18 reported that Indian Navy sources confirmed this development. Therefore, backchannel diplomatic efforts with Iran enabled this progress.

Continued Success For Indian Ships

Earlier, Indian LPG tankers Shivalik and Nanda Devi successfully crossed the conflict-affected Gulf region. Similarly, crude oil tanker Jag Ladki also reached India safely.

Consequently, Jag Vasant and Pine Gas mark another step in India’s maritime success. Therefore, this becomes India’s fifth commercial vessel achieving safe passage.

Selective Access Through Hormuz Strait

Notably, IRGC has allowed only selected countries’ commercial vessels to cross Hormuz Strait. Moreover, India remains among the most prominent countries receiving approval.

Therefore, this selective clearance highlights India’s strong diplomatic positioning during ongoing tensions.
