During Lok Sabha discussion on multiple bills, Chandrashekhar Azad made a strong statement. Meanwhile, the House debated Delimitation Bill 2026 and related amendments. He participated as Nagina MP and Azad Samaj Party leader. Furthermore, he supported a demand raised earlier without naming Akhilesh Yadav.
Support For Reservation Demand With Key Condition
Additionally, Azad backed the demand for including Muslim women in reservation. He clearly repeated the need for broader inclusion. However, he stressed one critical condition for effectiveness. He stated that without sub-quota, benefits would remain limited.
33 Percent Reservation Faces Representation Question
Moreover, he argued that 33 percent reservation does not ensure full justice. He said this quota cannot address representation for all sections. Therefore, he questioned how SC, ST, OBC and Muslim women would benefit.
Warning Over Unequal Distribution Of Benefits
Furthermore, he warned about unequal distribution within the reservation system. He explained that existing advantage could influence outcomes. As a result, benefits might reach already dominant groups. Consequently, marginalized women could remain excluded from real gains.
Sub-Quota Seen As Essential For Inclusion
Meanwhile, Azad emphasized the need for sub-quota within the main quota. He stated that absence of sub-quota would create imbalance. Therefore, women from Dalit, backward and Muslim communities could stay sidelined. He highlighted risk of continued marginalisation for these groups.
