Former India opener denies negative remarks about personal life and urges people to stop spreading false claims online.

Former Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan has begun a new chapter in his personal life. However, a viral fake post on social media angered him during this happy phase. Several troll accounts circulated a fabricated statement under his name. The post claimed that he made negative comments about his personal life. It even suggested that his first wife Aysha had once told him that no woman would marry him.

Cricketer Clarifies His Stand

The viral message attempted to portray him as disappointed about a past relationship. Nevertheless, he responded quickly and rejected the claim. Through his official account, he stated that the statement was completely false.

Dhawan wrote that he has never considered his past as a burden, whether related to cricket or private matters. He added that he believes in positive thinking and respects every phase of life. Furthermore, he appealed to users not to misuse his name for clicks and views. He requested people to avoid spreading misinformation.

A Fresh Beginning With Sophie Shine

Recently, Shikhar Dhawan married his long-time partner Sophie Shine in a private ceremony in Delhi-NCR. Close friends and family members attended the event. The wedding marks a fresh beginning in his journey.

Earlier, in October 2023, he finalised divorce proceedings with his first wife Aysha Mukherjee. During that period, he also faced a legal battle over custody of his son Zoravar.

Moving Ahead With Hope

Dhawan has often spoken about missing time with his son Zoravar. However, he has never made any public negative comment regarding his previous relationship. In mid-2025, when news about his bond with Sophie Shine surfaced, it became clear that he had moved forward in life.

Now, after marriage, he has requested fans and media to spread positivity and stay away from rumours.
