Delhi: Another viral reel has once again exposed the dark side of social media fame. Delhi Police arrested a 22-year-old biker after his dangerous stunt video went viral. The video showed him opening doors of moving vehicles on busy roads.

However, this incident does not stand alone. Earlier, reckless driving for reels led to tragedies, including Sahil Dhaneshra’s death. His single mother still seeks justice. Yet, some people continue risking lives for online attention.

Who Is the Accused?

Police identified the accused as Tushar Puniya, a resident of Khajuri Khas. He performed risky stunts on a motorcycle to shoot social media reels. Shockingly, the motorcycle did not carry a registration plate.

On February 16, a video clip surfaced online showing his dangerous acts. In the footage, he rode aggressively through traffic and opened doors of moving vehicles. He even targeted a Delhi Transport Corporation bus. Clearly, such behaviour endangered passengers, drivers, and pedestrians alike.

How Police Tracked Him

Delhi Police quickly took cognisance of the viral clip. Officers registered a case at New Usmanpur police station. Subsequently, a special team began identifying the biker.

Investigators examined CCTV footage from nearby areas. Eventually, they traced and arrested the accused. Police also seized the motorcycle used in the stunt. Further investigation continues.

Reel Culture and Road Rage

Social media fame has created a dangerous trend on Indian roads. Many young riders chase views, likes, and followers. Unfortunately, they often ignore basic road safety rules.

This obsession has already cost lives. Sahil Dhaneshra lost his life in a reckless road incident. His mother continues her fight for accountability. Still, some youths repeat the same mistakes.

Moreover, such stunts create panic among commuters. Drivers cannot anticipate sudden door openings or abrupt bike movements. Consequently, one reckless act can trigger a deadly chain reaction.

A Wake-Up Call for Society

This arrest should serve as a wake-up call. Reel-making on public roads is not creativity; it is negligence. Fame gained through endangering others reflects poor judgment.

Parents, educators, and authorities must address this growing obsession. Meanwhile, stricter enforcement of traffic laws remains essential.

Young riders must understand that roads are not film sets. Every stunt carries real consequences.

Responsibility Beyond the Arrest

Police action sends a strong message. However, long-term change requires collective responsibility. Social media platforms must also discourage dangerous content. Furthermore, users should stop glorifying risky behaviour. Views and shares encourage repetition. Delhi Police acted promptly this time. Yet prevention remains better than punishment.

Ultimately, road safety demands awareness, discipline, and empathy. No reel is worth a human life.
